With Brissett at Florida, Wisconsin gets another QB

Jacoby Brissett may have caused some heartache among Badgers fans (not to mention his own mother) when the highly touted quarterback sent in his official LOI today to Florida instead of Miami and Wisconsin, but Bret Bielema has taken that extra scholarship and extended it to another athletic quarterback, Nate Hammon.

The Milton (WI) athlete accounted for 2,896 total yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior -- 19 touchdowns through the air and 16 on the ground.

Hammon was not nearly as heavily recruited as Brissett. Rivals.com has the 6-foot-2-inch Hammon as a two-star athlete whose only Division 1 offer came from the Badgers. He is projected to play either wide receiver or defensive back for Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel also writes that had Brissett come to Wisconsin, Hammon was expected to grayshirt and delay his arrival to the program until after next season.

I guess Bielema took the Nick Saban route and decided to be up front with the kid...
