FSU loses another WR, this time to a stress fracture

Similar to BYU’s cornerback situation, Florida State’s wide receiver unit has had some tough luck with attrition.

That trend continued on Wendesday when Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher said senior receiver Jarred “Scooter” Haggins would likely miss the 2013 season with a stress fracture in his knee. However, Haggins does have a redshirt available to use if he wants to return in 2014.

Haggins has dealt with injuries before, including a broken hand that sidelined the receiver for a month during the 2011 season.

Though Haggins has just 20 career receptions, he did provide experience and depth to a unit that now finds itself down some bodies. Fellow senior Willie Haulstead was ruled academically ineligible earlier this month and Greg Dent is working through his legal situation from earlier this summer.
