VIDEO: Stefon Diggs erases any lingering doubts about health

If there were any lingering doubts that Stefon Diggs had fully recovered from a significant leg injury suffered last season, he completely erased them this past week.

During the final scrimmage of summer camp Wednesday, Diggs recorded a pair of touchdowns. One, however, stood out from the other.

With the offense at its own 20-yard line, Diggs took a very short pass and, after eluding several teammates with cutbacks, turned it into an 80-yard score.

Diggs posted on his Instagram account what looks like a stadium roof’s view of the impressive run after the catch:

So, yeah, I’d say Diggs will be alright as the Terps enter their first season in the Big Ten, the coaches of which are already impressed with the receiver.

Diggs suffered a broken fibula during an Oct. 19 loss to Wake Forest and missed the final six games of the season, including the Military Bowl loss to Marshall. Despite missing essentially half the season, the junior was second on the team in receptions (34), receiving yards (587) and receiving touchdowns (three).

Both Phil Steele and the media voted Diggs to their preseason first-team All-Big Ten squads, while he was named to the watch lists for the Biletnikoff (top receiver), Walter Camp (best player) and Hornung (most versatile) awards.
