Shannon says he doubts Jacory Harris plays this week

Since going down with what was later determined to be a concussion, it was thought that it would be highly unlikely Jacory Harris would be available for Miami’s game this weekend.

Based on head coach Randy Shannon‘s conference call late Wednesday morning, that still appears to be the direction the quarterback decision is headed.

Shannon said Harris would not practice today, and that Stephen Morris would continue taking the majority of the reps with the first-team offense. Being unavailable for practice on a Wednesday makes it a near-certainty that Harris will be the same for Saturday’s game against Maryland.

“I doubt he plays this week,” Shannon said, while the South Florida Sun Sentinel notes Shannon pegged the chances of Harris not playing at 75 percent.
