Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel made history earlier tonight when he became the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy. Depending on when he leaves college, he’ll have at least two more opportunities to earn another.
But will he? It’s tough to replicate the sort of numbers Manziel had this year and Ohio State running back Archie Griffin is the only two-time winner (1974, ’75) in the nearly 80 years the Heisman has been awarded. Manziel caught the college football world off guard this year, but you can guarantee that won’t happen in the years to come.
