Report: Alabama OL had offseason surgery, but good to go

No news is good news for college football programs in the months between the end of spring practice and the start of fall camp.

Alabama is breaking that rule* a little bit. According to Jerry Fowler of CBSSports, Tide offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio had offseason arthroscopic shoulder surgery following the end of spring practice. The good news for Alabama is that the surgery doesn’t sound like it was anything serious, as Kouandjio is reportedly back lifting weights during summer workouts and he should be good to go for the fall.

That’s important. Kouandjio has been a star along Alabama’s O-line. After having his freshman season cut short because of a knee injury, Kouandjio came back and played in every game for the Tide last year.

(*They’re really more like guidelines anyway.)
