‘Medical reasons’ force Cal’s Alex Logan to retire

Starting center Chris Adcock isn’t the only player Cal announced Saturday it had lost.

Senior safety Alex Logan, the school confirmed, has decided to retire from the game of football due to what was only described as “medical reasons.” It was not stated whether those reasons were related to football-related injuries or not, although the defensive back has dealt with his share of injuries during his time with the Bears.

Prior to the loss to Washington State Saturday, Logan had played in all four games this season. he started two of those contests.

Logan ends his Cal career having played in a total of 30 games.
