New Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl trophy gets a facelift (video)

A new year, a new name and now a brand new trophy.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl has a brand new trophy for its postseason game this year, and it showed it off with a quick video reveal. The old trophy had a blocky base with a football sitting on it. Now the football is being raised up from the base of the trophy. There is nothing particularly unique about the trophy, as this general concept has been done quite a few times throughout football trophy history. But hey, the folks at the Peach Bowl got us to talk about a trophy in November and we like talking about new trophies this week.
“Just as our game has evolved over the past 46 years, now, so has our trophy,” said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl president and CEO. “The new champion’s trophy gives us a new, modern look as one of the top six bowl games in the country as we move forward in the College Football Playoff. We are anxious to award it to our champion on New Year’s Eve.”
