The Easter Bunny left a gift in the front yard of every Cincinnati football fan on Sunday when Michael Young announced he was the newest Bearcat.
A Saint Rose, La., native, Young signed with Notre Dame in 2017 but never fully hit his stride in gold and blue. He caught four passes for 18 yards and a score, seven for 138 and a touch in 2018, and six for 21 in three games in 2019. A broken collarbone suffered in training camp certainly didn’t help. He announced his intent to transfer in October.
Still, Young has talent and should be able to help a Cincinnati team gunning for big things in 2020.
Cincinnati lost two of its top pass catchers from last year’s 11-3 team in the forms of tight end Josiah Deguara (39 catches) and receive Rashad Medaris (25).
