Brady Hoke: no change in Stonum’s status

Yesterday, Michigan wide receiver Darryl Stonum was sentenced to two years probation and one year’s suspended jail time following a May arrest for a DUI. Stonum pleaded guilty to the DUI a week ago.

And although Stonum’s off-the-field fate has been determined, his on-the-field future is still very much ambiguous.

When asked if there was a change in Stonum’s status with the team, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke simply stated “Nope.” Stonum was suspended from the team following the May arrest.

“We’re just evaluating the whole process. There are things we are looking at as a team, personal and legal and all that,” Hoke added. “There is some different criteria I want to see. That’s personal stuff for me to worry about. We’ll just see how it turns out.”

Well, it may turn out that Stonum won’t get to wear this neat looking throwback uniform in Michigan’s Sept. 10 game against Notre Dame.

Stonum has had two drunk driving offenses while at Michigan.
