Braxton Miller still a Buckeye, at least for the spring semester

Despite plenty of transfer rumors swirling around for the past couple of months now, Braxton Miller is still on campus at Ohio State. Miller is currently enrolled in classes for the spring semester in Columbus, according to Columbus Dispatch reporter Tim May.

Miller graduated in December. Having already graduated, Miller will be eligible to play at any FBS program in the fall. NCAA transfer rules allow players that have graduated to play immediately without having to sit out a season. This is why Miller’s hypothetical college football free agency is as enticing as it is.

Miller missed the entire 2014 season due to a shoulder surgery that was not scheduled until close to the start of the season. However, when on the field the previous two seasons for Ohio State Miller was the best player in the Big Ten and a likely Heisman Trophy contender or favorite in 2014 if he had played. Whether he stays at Ohio State or transfers to Oregon or LSU or Florida State or anywhere else, he will be quite an asset to any offense he is a part of.

Cardale Jones has already declared he will be back for Ohio State in the fall and J.T. Barrett is not likely to be going anywhere. If Miller does stick with the Buckeyes, head coach
Urban Meyer will have quite the quarterback situation to sort through in the fall.

Ohio State spokesman confirms Braxton Miller is enrolled at OSU this spring semester. FYI FWIW
